Luis Rioja: “We have to go to Vallecas to win and take another step towards our goal”
The Valencia CF attacker spoke to the media in a press conference at the Ciutat Esportiva de Paterna
Although it was part of a friendly game, rather than an official encounter, Kang In had the experience of wearing the captain's armband for the first time in the derby against Levante UD on Saturday night. Part of a starting lineup that had a strong presence of players brought up through the VCF Academy, the 19-year-old was chosen to skipper the side.
Accompanied by Rubén Sobrino, Kang In was active in the final third and always showed for the ball. He provided some probing shots from outside the area and kept the ball in assured fashion. His constant movement proved a nightmare for the opposition, and his defensive work after changes of possession was tireless.
After the halftime break, the South Korean star came close to scoring with a powerful drive on the hour mark, which went just wide. He would play 70 minutes of the contest, before being replaced by Manu Vallejo.
